– you find ”Mellangård”, a farmhouse turned into a comfortable holiday
house with 8 beds, newly renovated up to a very high standard. The house
is 130 m2, including relax areas in the basement with sauna, whirlpool,
gym and full body solarium.

This holiday house in Småland, with central heating, has five rooms:
- Three bedrooms (11-17 m2 with double beds)
- TV room (one of the bedrooms, 11 m2) satellite colour TV and DVD
- Living room (two-bed sofa, m2)
- Dining room (13 m2)
- Up-to-date kitchen (electrical stove with extractor hood, micro wave
oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine)
- Bathing-room with bathtub and dressing table on the first floor
- Toilet with shower on the ground floor
This stylishly furnished Swedish holiday house houses eight persons.
Baby bed/chair is available. The basement has a wash-room with washer,
tumble dryer and ironing facilities. The holiday house is fully insulated.
Smoking indoors is not allowed. In the big garden there is a barbecue grill
and outdoor furniture.
Beautiful surroundings
”Mellangård” is set in a quiet and idyllic farming area with a view towards
the Bolmån river, nearest neighbours are 150 meter away. Cows and horses
graze in the pastures, the forest is nearby. In this holiday house in Småland
you have access to a small boat in the near-by river and next-door you may
hire canoes if you wish to further explore the river and lake system
”Lagaleden” which is one of the biggest canoe systems in the south of
Sweden. Just behind the house is a grave-field from the Stone Age.
This holiday house in Småland has a 3 000 sq.m. garden with wonderful
possibilities for children to play , outdoor furniture in groups and an
outdoor roofed area with infra-red heating and a barbecue grill. Bicycles
are available and so is a small rowing boat (engine can be hired, see
price-list). By motor boat lake Exen,
with a small sandy beach and excellent fishing, is only ten minutes away.
Bathing and fishing
Bathing and fishing is available in the river Bolmån just 150 m away. Bolmån
is salmon water, just 2 km from Mellangård is a kilometer-long stretch of
falls for fly fishing of salmon. Pike, pike-perch and perch are also frequent
fishes in the river system. Fishing-cards for many different areas can be
bought from your host. Lake Bolmen, the largest lake in the south of Sweden
and very good for fishing, is only 13 km away or 10 minutes by car.
”Mellangård” is normally hired per week or weeks (exceptions during low and
middle season, see price-list).
Sheets can be hired. In the immediate surroundings of this holiday house in
Småland there are endless areas for country walks, grounds which at season
are full of mushrooms and berries. The wildlife is rich, you may encounter
roe deers and – with some luck – elk. In the vast swampy grounds the rare
cloudberries grow. Within one kilometer from the house is Nöttja parish
church, an old stone church from the 11th century.
